Our Mission
Our
Mission is to encourage and bring to light potential singing
and musical talents from within the church to the glory of
God.
How it all
began…
The Intisar team, an Arabic Christian music group, came into
existence when a group of around twenty talented Christian
young people got together and performed at their local church
in Lebanon, Middle East in 1978.That first performance was
conducted by Hady Iskandar, and the music arrangement was done
by Sila Haddad and Lena Costa.
Over the next few years, the
group was asked to sing at many occasions and various
churches, and other special events.
Lena Costa, one of the three
people who started the work always had a passion for this type
of ministry. However, for work purposes, she and her husband
had to leave Lebanon and go to the Gulf, where she worked as a piano teacher for eight years.
During all that time, she never let go of her passion and she
therefore kept on working towards realizing her dream. After
buying some musical equipment, and a mini musical studio was
founded.

Yet due to the fact that the
choir members were in Lebanon and she was still in the Gulf,
the first album released
(حين
ندخل السماء)
was just music. All this was done through
the sufficient
grace provided by God.
Over the next few years, a
pattern of work was started. Lena would prepare the music back in the Gulf and Maria Hajj would
lead the choir practice in
Lebanon.
In 1993, Lena and her husband
returned to Lebanon where they intended to settle down again,
and along came her mini studio. Since she could find no place
for it, she used her own living room as a studio. Out of that
‘studio’ came the second album

Intisar #2. Ever since then, the Lord gave Lena the opportunity to be fully devoted to His work.
Later on, God arranged for a 2
m2 room that fits a maximum of eight people, in the basement,
and the studio moved again. People might wonder at what such
a small room could produce, yet the Lord has been using that
tiny place to spread His Word around the globe. The second
album was recorded
Intisar#3 (kifayati Nou’mah).
Ever since then, that tiny place has witnessed the production
of:

In partnership with World
Vision Lebanon, Intisar prepared two children tapes (daou al
awlad) and (Bidounak ma Bimshi). These tapes were distributed
directly by World Vision to thousands of children in Lebanon.

The late Rev. Joseph COSTA
wrote the lyrics of 13 popular hymns. In his commemoration,
Intisar prepared a tape in which these hymns are brought
together, and the tape's name is
(ربي
ممسك
يدي
)
