August 5th,
was not Ayman’s first time at the annual Hrajel Festival, Instead of singing
love songs, Ayman sang of His newly-found relationship with Jesus Christ.
When they were first invited to sing at the Festival, Ayman and the Intisar
Choir were hesitant not knowing what to expect.
They prayed and sought the
Lord’s guidance.
As the date came closer, Ayman and the Choir
started to face all kinds of problems and hindrances. The night before the
event, Lena fell sick and could not be there for the rehearsal. So, the
Choir had to manage on their own! On route to Hrajel, the micro-bus carrying
the team broke down, not once but twice.
When they did arrive in the end, it was too late for rehearsal. So, instead
the whole group gathered together behind the stage, holding hands, praying
and tearfully calling for the Lord’s dominance over the event and seeking
His blessings.
That night, the festival started at 10:15pm instead of 9:00pm. Ayman and the
Choir sang whole-heartedly. God led Ayman to share his testimony, and speak
boldly, and towards the end of the event, Ayman invited those who would like
to receive God’s assurance of an eternity in Heaven, to come forward. Many
did, along with the village priest who was quite taken throughout the event.
